A LIFETIME OF HEALING

watermark_logo_transparent_background.png

I became motherless at the age of 10.

The following ten years were black…

A glimmer of hope presented itself when, at the age of 15 I took up ceramics as a GCSE option. That was it - this was the only thing that made me happy during a time when the deepest, darkest pit of sadness swallowed me up… That chink of light, over time, evolved  into an essential emotional release,  allowing me to cope with my grief.

It has been my saviour.

I became a motherless mother at the age of 26.

A FEW KIND WORDS FROM ONE OF MY
SUMMER WORKSHOPS...

I have attended two of Sonia's Workshops and both times I found her teaching style exceptional. Sonia demonstrates how to prepare your canvas and while waiting for that to dry, shows you how to use the sketchbook she provides to start planning your finished piece. Sonia demonstrates different techniques and has a variety of materials for you to use. She allows you to develop your own style whilst being constructive in her support. Using my imagination to conjure up a piece of abstract art did not come naturally to me as I usually use photos for landscapes of portraits but once I let myself go, I felt free to explore new ways, and Sonia was very encouraging.
